On June 11, the 12th China (Shanghai) International Technology Import & Export Fair (CSITF)grandly opened. AsChina’s only national-level, international professional exhibition focused on technology trade, CSITF gathers global science-and-innovation resources and links the international technology trade market, serving as the core platform where cutting-edge technologies from home and abroad compete and collaborate. With solid independent innovation achievements and international technical competitiveness, 3Srobotics appeared at a core booth in the Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce exhibition area.
On the first day of the fair,a leadership team from the Shanghai Municipal Government made a key visit to the 3Srobotics booth for inspection and guidance. Founder and Chairman Wang Dezhao reported to the leaders on the hardware products equipped with the latest “embodied welding brain” series. As one of the few embodied AI enterprises in the world possessing the three key technologies of an independent-brand industrial robot (HGXD), a welding vertical-scenario AI model and a process system that are deeply coupled, 3Srobotics is committed to providing manufacturing enterprises with a “mechanical welder” capable of autonomous perception, planning, decision-making and welding execution, solving social problems such as the shortage of welding trades and harsh welding environments.
In an interview with Shangguan News titled <Hard Technology Debuts at CSITF, AI Becomes the Robot’s “Strongest Brain” — Watch Silicon-Based Life Empower Carbon-Based Life!>, 3Srobotics General Manager Li Hongyu explained “from passive to proactive: the ‘AI brain’ assists robot upgrades”. As the most “down-to-earth and rigid-demand” vertical track of AI, industrial welding faces pain points such as traditional welding’s heavy reliance on veteran craftsmen’s experience — the process has to be adjusted with the slightest change in material thickness, weld angle or ambient temperature difference — plus young people’s unwillingness to enter the trade, the scarcity of senior skilled workers, and the difficulty of sustaining manual operation in high-risk conditions. Unlike traditional equipment that requires importing drawings in advance, manual point-by-point teaching and fixed-path operation,the AI welding robot displayed at the 3Srobotics booth can completely break free from manual presets, relying on vision AI to autonomously scan workpieces, precisely identify weld-seam positions, intelligently plan optimal welding paths, and autonomously complete complex precision welding processes end to end.The advantages of AI welding robots are extremely prominent — they can enter harsh scenarios where humans cannot work for long, such as narrow ship cabins, high-temperature enclosed workshops and high-risk heavy-industry stations.
